What a wonderful Give Away from NYM Brand Products! Can you believe Just for Jack has been going for a year? I can't. Can you also believe that my number one top post on this made for boys website is for 'Not Your Mother's Brand' products? As Mommas we really do care about our crowning glory. I have a few fears in life -- one of them is driving to big cities. But do you know what I fear more than that? Discovering my Hair Stylist was moving! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!
It's plain to see, we learn early in life what works and what doesn't for our hair. As time goes by our hair changes and I, for one, am particularly particular about what I put in my mane. It's fine if friends and acquaintances want to believe I was born with healthy, thick, shine-y hair; however, my diet and the products I choose play a fair part in it all. At (nearly--yikes) 49, I can honestly say my hair still gleams as it was at 17. I've had bad experiences though..and we'll not talk about them here.
But here is a great experience. Girl Powder: I call this 'Magic Powder', because when I first grasped this container I thought it was empty. How is it that something that feels like air can add so much volume? It would have been better for me to read the instructions first. It says to shake a small amount and because I couldn't really feel it I went shake crazy and ended up with chain-link armor in the crown of my head. My naturally straight and flat hair was standing up so high I had to laugh. I turned my head upside down and shook a bit out until I got the desired effect. You won't be disappointed for volume and texture with Girl Powder (or is it Girl Power?). It is fantastic and I love it. You'll want to finish off with a few squirts of Rise and Shine, Silky Smooth Shine Mist.
Rise and Shine Silky Smooth Shine Mist: Is it pineapple or is it sugar cookies..? My daughter and I can't seem to place the scent exactly. All we know is that we want to smell it all day long. It's so yummy I just want to keep spraying it on my hair. This product is a GREAT finisher. Combined with the girl powder on my 'I'm too lazy to wash my hair' morning - my dirty, flat hair suddenly had stand up texture and shine as if I had gone to the trouble. It can bail you out on those 'whoops' I slept past the alarm days. Rise and Shine does give you a glossy, vibrant shine. (And smells sooooo good!)
If you do blow dry your hair or use any electrical appliances, you will want to try Beat the Heat, Thermal Shield Spray. NYM went the extra mile here. Not only will it protect our hair from scorching heat, but it also blocks daily U.V. Rays AND it's infused with Sunflower and vitamins A and E. In my book, protecting and preventing is very important in keeping your hair lustrous for life.
I tend to go au natural in the summer. I give my blow-dryer a rest most days in our warm Southern air. I prefer to just give it a few squirts of my Beach Babe, Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. Note: It really does give me the feeling of a beach babe-- and if you'd really like to find out huge benefits of NYM Beach Babe, read it in Just for Jack's number 1 post here.
The detriment to doing reviews, is that I find products that I MUST keep using. NYM is one of them -- I especially love their reasonable $6.00 pricing. NYM brands are available at participating Walmarts and Ulta Beauty Stores and online at Custom Nails.
