I think we momma's of boys are very fortunate when a clothing designer of 10 years suddenly finds herself with a new born son.  Just for Jack fans understand it doesn't take long to find the discrepancies in the clothing market.  Thankfully we have another great designer that's helping improve our variety and selection.

Ferd has sizing from 3 months to 8 years.  Ferd Collections convey an ease in striking simpleness.  Collarless shirts, tweed vests and knee patch pants find room to grin with comfort.

We all have a weakness..mine happens to be shoes...for my children (if you haven't already guessed that).   When I came across the 'Gustav' by Vincent, I knew I just couldn't (or wouldn't) settle for anything less then this admirable special occasion shoe. 

The oxford classic is complimented with a shiny patent upper, giving the perfect finish to my well dressed beau. I discovered these little gems were not just fashionable, but comfortable -- as the ring bearer was found chasing the flower girl several times around the garden (and visa-versa).  I count myself very fortunate to have found such a formal shoe with a comfy fit.

Created by a doting uncle and his partner, who set out to find the perfect shoes for a very special nephew, "Vincent" -- but were never satisfied.  This inspired company in Stockholm, seeks to design shoes around the personality and lifestyle of a child.  What I love most about the Gustav and many other styles,  is the rounded toe --they have a signature 'dipped' look as it was noted how much Vincent loved to dip his food into various sauces and condiments.  It's especially nice in the classic fisherman's boot, above.

Vincent shoes start at pre-walker and go to about age 8.  They are made for both boys and girls.

Wear Me Out Kids - Boys Tuxedo Shirt with Bowtie

If you'd like to stay within your budget, yet look as if you've splurged, then you may want to pop over to Wear Me Out Kids.  This website carries quality occasion clothing in sizes 6 months -20 years, that are priced quite reasonably.

This tuxedo shirt is available in sizes 4-20 years and comes with a bowtie.  You can use the black buttons (which are detachable) or stay with the clear white ones.  The included black bowtie is optional and adjustable.  Made of poly/cotton blend.  It is true sizing, and because I wasn't sure I phoned up customer service and was met with a very pleasant assistant who graciously took the time to open up a shirt and measure from the shoulder to wrist to satisfy my particular need.

Not only did this shirt look like a custom fit on our 5 year old, but the tailored look made him stand out (and this could be my personal opinion..) as the the most adorable and dapper looking ring bearer that ever was.  (I shall post a picture as soon as the wedding photographer forwards one to me -- I'm sure you'll agree ;-)
